As one of the standard formulation members of the Chinese Stomatological Association (CSA), our root canal treatment reaches the top level in our nation. Our department owns the root canal microscopes, the root canal treatment wheels, the ultrasonic root canal treatment instruments, the digital dental x-ray devices, the dental endoscopes, the thermoplastic gutta-percha filling system, the condensation of cold gutta-percha filling system and other advanced equipments. We have absolute advantages in the treatment of calcified root canal, the removal of the separated instruments, and the root canal microscopic treatment.
We are good at the endodontic surgery because of the employment of the periapical curettage, retrogade filling to preserve the teeth.
Our aesthetic restoration strictly follows the concept of "minimal damage and minimal trauma during the restoration process". The dental adhesive technique, instead of the traditional silver amalgam bonded technique has been employed by our department. The aesthetic resin restoration and porcelain laminate veneer on the anterior teeth, the composite resin inlay and the porcelain inlay and the metal inlay on the posterior teeth could meet different needs of the patients.
Our teeth bleaching treatment has developed to maturity. We can offer individual treatment plan according to the situation of the patient: cold light whitening technique for the patients with mild or moderate dental fluorosis; the intracoronal bleaching and the cosmetic restoration for the patients with pulp necrosis caused discolored teeth.
Our laser desensitization treatment is so effective that it has helped a large number of patients out of dentin hypersensitivity.

Ni Longxing
Professor/ chief physician, doctoral supervisor in the Forth Military Medical University, M.D., the director of the Department of Conservative Dentistry, the member of the Chinese Stomatological Association(CSA), the vice director of the Conservative Dentistry Committee of Chinese Stomatological Association, the standing committee member of the Dental Material Committee of the CSA, the member of the PLA Stomatological Committee, the member of the PLA Geriatric Stomatological Committee, the member and secretary of the Shaanxi Medical Committee, the subeditor of Chinese Journal of Conservative Dentistry, the editorial member of Journal of Practical Stomatology and Journal of The Forth Military Medical University, the special editorial member of Chinese Journal of Stomatology. His researching aspects are the caries and the endodontic biology. He has been responsible for the military tackling key subject of the ninth five-year program (1995-2000, sub-project), the military key subject of the tenth five-year program (2001-2005, sub-project), the sub-project of the eleventh five-year plan key project of Ministry of Science and Technology (2005-2010), the military subject of the eleventh five-year plan (2006-2010), one of the Shaanxi tackling key subjects (2004-2006), the one of the university specific subject of the eleventh five-year plan (2005-2007, sub-project), two projects from National Natural Science Foundation of China (participator). He has won the third award of the National Science and Technology Progress (1998, the third participator), the first award of the Military Medical Achievement (2001, the third participator). He has cultivated 27 postgraduates (14 graduated), published 120 theses on the foreign and domestic source journals, edited 1 book and subedited 2 books, participated in the edit of 8 books. His clinical characteristics are the cosmetic restoration and the treatment of the difficult endodontic disease.
Xiao Mingzhen
Second-rank professor/ chief physician, doctoral supervisor, the subeditor of Chinese Journal of Conservative Dentistry, the editorial member or special editorial member of Chinese Journal of Stomatology, Journal of Practical Stomatology and Journal of Comprehensive Stomatology. He also is the member of the PLA Dental Disease Prevention and Treatment Guidance Team. He has won the third award of the National Science and Technology Progress twice, the first award of the Military Medical Achievement once, the second award of the Military Science and Technology Progress six times. He is good at the treatment of the pulp disease, the periapical disease and the preservation of the largely damaged tooth.
Tang Rongyin
Professor/chief physician, postgraduates supervisor, medical doctor, expert employed by the Central Health Protected Committee, standing member of the Medical Prevention Committee, the chief editor of Chinese Journal of the Conservative Dentistry, the editorial member of Journal of Practical Stomatology. He has won the third award of the National Science and Technology Progress once, the second award of the Military Science and Technology Progress once and had studied in the stomatological school of the Osaka University in Japan. He is good at the treatment of the caries, endodontic diseases and the periapical disease, etc.
Yu Qing
Adjunct professor, associate chief physician, medical doctor, the vice director of the Department of Conservative Dentistry of the School of the Stomatology, FMMU, standing member of the Conservative Dentistry Committee of Chinese Stomatological Association, the member of the IADR and the Japanese Conservative Dentistry Committee, the director of the Xi’an Laser Infrared Association, the evaluating expert of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the expert of the national price standard for the dental treatment assessment , the appraisal expert of the medical treatment accident in Xi'an, the editorial member of Chinese Journey of Conservative Dentistry. His research is focusing on the endodontic biology and conservative stomatology. He has successively taken on two projects from National Natural Science Foundation of China, one international cooperation program, participated in the research work of four projects from National Natural Science Foundation of China, one key subject of the military tenth five-year plan, one international cooperative subject and one innovative project. He has been awarded by the second award of the Shaanxi Science and Technology Achievement once, the third award of the Military Medical Treatment Achievement twice. Besides, he has published over 50 theses on domestic source journal, 40 of which have him as the lead author and 2 foreign theses are embodied in the SCI. He does very well in the modern root canal therapy, preservative restoration of the largely destroyed root and crown, the restoration with the tooth color material and the laser hyposensitization therapy.
Zhang Yaqing
Professor/chief physician, postgraduates supervisor, medical doctor, the director of the Department of the Education Administration of the School of Stomatology, FMMU, the associate director of the Geriatric Stomatological Committee of the CSA, the member of the Conservative Dentistry Committee of CSA, the editorial member of Chinese Journal of the Endodontic Dentistry. His research is mainly on the endodontic biology and the conservative dentistry. He has awarded with the second award of the Military Science and Technology Progress once, the second award of Shaanxi Science and Technology Progress once, and has been in charge of one project from the Shaanxi Natural and Science Foundation. His specialties are root canal therapy, the preservative restoration of the destroyed root and crown, the restoration with the tooth color material.
Wang Ping
Professor/chief physician, medical doctor. Researches are mainly on the diagnosis and treatment of the conservative disease and pulp disease. His clinical features are the restoration of the largely effect tooth body with the retentive pin, the wet bonding technique, the painless treatment technique, and the diagnosis and treatment of the endodontic and the periapical disease.
Lin Yuan
Adjunct professor/ associate chief physician, medical doctor, the deputy director of the Department of Conservative Dentistry of the school of stomatology FMMU, the editorial member of Chinese Journal of Conservative Dentistry, the member of the Medical Education Committee of the Shaanxi Medical Association. She has participated in the work of one project from National Natural Science Foundation of China, one tackling key subject (sub-project) of the tenth five year plan, three projects from the Natural Science Foundation of Shaanxi, taken on one educational subject of the FMMU. She joined in the edit work of three stomatological books. She is good at the cosmetic restoration, complicated root canal treatment, and preservative restoration of the largely damaged tooth.
