The Cardiovascular Department is one of the first disciplines ratified to confer the master's degree and doctoral degree and of the mobile station of the post-doctors, the key discipline supported by the "211 Project", the center of cardiac arrhythmia of PLA, the national training center of radiofrequency catheter ablation and of Chinese Cardiac Pacing and Electrophysiology Association and the first-grade training center of radiofrequency catheter ablation of PLA. It owns first class equipment at home and experienced medical personnel resources.
There are 9 professors and associate professors, of whom 5 are attending doctors or lecturers, and over 30 students for doctoral degree or master's degree in this department. With 2 wards of 80 beds, the annual number of inpatients and interventional operations is around 2160 and 1600 respectively. With ICU room, electro-cardiograph room, interventional operation room and lab, the department is characterized with radiofrequency catheter ablation of cardiac arrhythmia, interventional therapy of congenital heart diseases and diagnosis and treatment of hypertension.
